The List of nominations for the GRAMMY Latins 2021 is here, and it’s a doozy! While fully reflecting the breadth of the current Latin musical landscape, this year’s list of nominees also writes a new chapter in the history of today’s visionary artists.
Some of the most nominated artists at the 22nd Latin GRAMMY Awards include Camilo (10 applications), Juan Luis Guerra (6 nominations), C. Tangana (5 nominations), and Bad bunny (4 candidates).

After receiving five Latin GRAMMY nominations in 2020, Camilo doubles his nods with 10 nominations this year.
Today’s nomination announcement marks a milestone day for Colombian singer / songwriter Camilo, who leads the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs nominations with a total of 10 nods, including nominations in major categories like Album de of the year, Song of the year, Record of the year and Best pop vocal album. He was even nominated twice in the Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year categories.

Even with many Latin GRAMMY victories under his belt, Juan Luis Guerra is celebrating the most Latin GRAMMY nominations he has ever received in a single year.
The Dominican pink bachata The legend has 20 Latin GRAMMY victories and 40 total nominations to date, his first nods and victories dating back to the 1st Latin GRAMMY Awards in 2000. This year, Guerra is in contention for the record of the year, the album of the year and four other categories.
If he wins, C. Tangana could continue a remarkable streak of Latin victories at the GRAMMYs
In total, the Spanish rapper was nominated for nine Latin GRAMMYs, including five nominations this year, and won two Latin GRAMMYs for his work with Rosalia. This year, C. Tangana is nominated for Recording of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Pop / Rock Song; it was also nominated twice in the Best Alternative Song category.
Bad Bunny stays on top after an incredibly productive 2020
Bad bunny EL LTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO, the Puerto Rican superstar’s latest album – and her third album of 2020 – is up for album of the year and best urban music album. He obtained nine nominations at Latin GRAMMY 2020, only lagging behind J. Balvin, who won 13 nominations that year, and won a Latin victory at the GRAMMYs for Best Reggaeton Performance for “Yo Perreo Sola. “
6 of the 11 nominees for Best New Artist are women
This year, Guilla Be, Maria Becerra, Zoe Gotusso, Rita Indiana, Paloma Granny, and Juliana Velásquez all received a nomination in the coveted Best New Artist category. Mike Bahia won the award for best new artist at the Latin GRAMMY 2020, while the women have won the title the two previous years: Nella in 2019 and Karol G in 2018.
The 22nd Latin GRAMMY Awards Received a Record Number of Over 20,000 Entries for Consideration
More than 4,000 voting members of the Latin Recording Academy – music professionals of all genres and disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers and engineers – in 37 countries vote in the Latin process GRAMMY Awards. This system determines the nominees and winners of the Latin GRAMMY 2021 from over 20,000 stellar submissions.
The 2021 Latin GRAMMY telecast will air live Thursday, November 18 on Univision at 8 p.m. ET / PT (7 p.m. CT). The show will also be broadcast on TNT (cable) at 7:00 p.m. (MEX) / 8:00 p.m. (PAN-COL) / 9:00 p.m. (FRI) / 10:00 p.m. (ARG / CHI).
