‘The Masked Singer’ Judge Ken Jeong Storms Set After Performer Reveals To Be Rudy Giuliani [Video]
The most talked about clip “The Masked Singer” debuted in its entirety, and it’s even more satisfying than the preview.
As the show was promoted for months, Judge Ken Jeong was seen in a dramatic clip leaving the stage after the former New York mayor Rudy Giulani was revealed as the man under the costume performing “Rotten to the core.” As the other judges laughed and clapped, Jeong crossed his arms and was visible without having any fun. He then says “I’m done” and leaves the stage.
If you recall, Giuliani has been at the center of a lot of controversy over the years. The outspoken politician falsely claimed the 2020 election was rigged in favor of President Joe Biden. Following the derogatory comments, his license as a lawyer in New York was suspended last June. His Washington DC license was suspended the following month.
Nonetheless, Giuliani appeared bubbly and of a much lighter spirit on the show. At the request of the host Nick Cannon why he chose to come on the show, he said it was for his new granddaughter.
“I guess the main reason is that I just had a granddaughter, Grace, and I want her to know that you should try everything,” he explained. While he confessed that appearing on a show like “The Masked Singer” is “not like him,” he’s a big fan of the fun musical series.
When news of Jeong leaving the set circulated in Februarysources also said the judge Robin Thicke was disgusted with Giuliani’s appearance. However, it didn’t come across that way on Wednesday’s show. Only Jeong is seen walking away.
