Jacob Cardover performs August 13 at the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall




Boasting an international career as a concert and recording artist, Jacob Cordover has wowed audiences in more than a dozen countries on four continents. This month, he is bringing that music to an audience in Greater Victoria at the University of Victoria.

Cordover has performed as a soloist with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, Arlington Symphony Orchestra, Garland Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Simfònica de Balears Ciutat de Palma, and Orchestra dell’Accademia l’Ottocento .

Cordover has released three solo albums. His most recent, Expresivo with Cala Records in 2016, features beloved and well-known Spanish and Latin American works for guitar as well as arrangements of popular songs and works from the jazz world.

Performing repertoire from a wide range of musical periods, Cordover shares its enthusiasm for contemporary music with a concert on August 13 at 7 p.m. at UVic’s Phillip T. Young Recital Hall. Tickets, $15 to $30, are available at victoriaguitarsociety.ca.
