Churchill’s Thurby card will feature music artist Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats

Churchill Downs will open general admission access to the field for Thurby in 2022 and feature a musical performance by Nathaniel Rateliff and night sweats. Thurby presented by Old Forester is a celebration of Kentucky music and bourbon and has become one of the most exciting ways to experience live racing during Derby Week at Churchill Downs.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are one of the most recognizable new forces in contemporary rock ‘n’ roll whose mix of soul and rock quickly cemented them as a rare generational band that balanced ecstatic shows and records captivating and rich.

The octet’s third album, The Future, is an 11-song instant classic that builds on their original sound and recognizable zeal to present new and compelling depth and introspection.

Open House for Thurby presented by Old Forester on Thursday, May 5 at 11 a.m. ET with the first race scheduled for 12:45 p.m.

General admission tickets start at $29 and can be purchased at All ticket levels for Thurby will have access to the on-court music experience. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will take to the stage in the afternoon and entertain guests on the field between races.
