National Security Letters Portion of Patriot Act Struck Down Today

The ruling can be found on the ACLU website here. I haven't read much of it yet. (It's quite long.) But it appears that the First Amendment, and not just the Fourth Amendment, plays a role in the decision. I'll likely have more to say about this case, possibly in my FindLaw column next week.
